About TNDTE Typewriting Exam

To evaluate candidates’ typing accuracy and speed, the TNDTE Typewriting exam is administered once a year. There is no higher age limit, and everyone above the age of 14 is welcome.

There are two sections to the exam:

Theory: Available in Tamil and English
For practical purposes, only English is used.
The TNDTE test includes the following topics in addition to typewriting: Shorthand (High Speed, Junior, Intermediate, Senior)
Junior and Senior Accountancy
Pre-Junior, Junior, Senior, and High Speed typewriting
