Earlier last month, the commission made the CSE Prelims admit cards available on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in. To enter the exam room, each applicant needs to produce their CSE preliminary admission card.

✅ Documents to Carry

  1. Printout of the e-Admit Card – Must be in good condition with visible photograph and QR code.

  2. Photo Identity Card – The ID number must match the one mentioned in your admit card.

  3. Two Passport-Sized Photographs (with name and date) – Applicable if the photo on the admit card is unclear or missing name/date.

  4. Undertaking Form – Required in case of unclear/missing photo on admit card.

  5. Black Ballpoint Pen – For filling the OMR sheet and attendance.

  6. Simple Wristwatch – Smart/digital watches are not allowed.


🚫 Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Venue

  • Mobile phones (even if switched off)

  • Smart/Digital watches or any electronic/communication devices

  • Bags, luggage, or valuables

  • Books, notes, or written material

  • Any suspicious or unauthorized items

🔔 Note: No storage facility will be provided at the exam centre. Candidates bringing such items do so at their own risk.


⏰ Entry Timings

  • Entry allowed up to 30 minutes before the start of the exam.

    • Forenoon session: Entry allowed till 9:00 AM

    • Afternoon session: Entry allowed till 2:00 PM

  • Latecomers will not be allowed under any circumstances.


⚠️ Disciplinary Actions for Violations

Possession or use of banned items or violation of instructions can lead to:

  • Cancellation of candidature

  • FIR/police complaint

  • Debarment from future UPSC exams

  • Immediate disqualification from the current session

  • Cross-verify details on your admit card (name, photograph, QR code). Report any issues to the UPSC urgently.

  • Preserve your admit card till the final result is declared.

  • Read all specific instructions printed on your admit card carefully before the exam.
