Eligibility Criteria
➤ For Assistant Teachers (Class IX–X):
Graduate/Post Graduate with 50% marks (either in UG or PG) and B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution;
OR4-year integrated B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from an NCTE-recognised institution.
➤ For Assistant Teachers (Class XI–XII):
Post Graduate with 50% marks and B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution;
ORPost Graduate with 50% marks and B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from an NCTE-recognised institution.
➤ For Upper Primary Level Teachers:
Must meet NCTE minimum qualifications applicable to Upper Primary level.
Must pass the TET, as conducted by the appropriate State Government per NCTE guidelines.

WB SLST 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Teachers for Secondary and Higher Secondary classes:
1. Educational Qualification
For Assistant Teachers (Classes IX & X – Secondary)
Candidates must have either:
Option A: Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks in either, and a B.Ed. from a NCTE-recognised institution.
OROption B: A 4-year integrated degree: B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. from a NCTE-recognised institution.
For Assistant Teachers (Classes XI & XII – Higher Secondary)
Candidates must have either:
Option A: Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. from a NCTE-recognised institution.
OROption B: Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.A. Ed. / B.Sc. Ed. from a NCTE-recognised institution.
2. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)
