PM Internship Scheme 2025: The PM Internship Scheme 2025, launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, offers 12‑month structured internships to Indian youth in top public and private sector organizations.The scheme was designed to bridge academic learning with industry exposure, the scheme targets improved employability and skill development. The scheme was launched in the year 2024 on a pilot-basis. The initial target was to provide 1.25 lakh internship opportunities to the youth. The top companies for this Pilot Project have been identified on the basis of the average of CSR expenditure of the last three years. The companies are free to participate in this scheme i.e., it is voluntary for them to participate. The candidates can now check their offer letter status and also they can accept the letter and reject it.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must meet the following:

  • Nationality: Indian citizen

  • Age: 21–24 years (relaxation for reserved categories)

  • Education: Minimum qualification of 10th (with ITI), 12th, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree (e.g., BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma) from recognized institutions

  • Exclusions: Full-time students, holders of professional (e.g. CA, CA, MBBS, MBA) or postgraduate degrees from premier institutes like IITs, IIMs, NLUs; applicants from households earning above ₹8 lakh annually; those already employed full-time or in government skill programmes

  • Application Fee: ₹0 (completely free).

  • Selection: Candidates are shortlisted via portal algorithms based on eligibility, preferences, and company requirements. Results are communicated via dashboard notifications, SMS, and email.
