The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the recruitment for 320 Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ positions across various technical disciplines for the year 2025. Interested candidates can apply online through the official ISRO website: www.isro.gov.in. The application process commenced on May 27, 2025, and the last date to apply is June 16, 2025.


🔹 Vacancy Details

The vacancies are distributed among the following disciplines:

  • Electronics: 21 posts

  • Mechanical: 33 posts

  • Computer Science: 14 posts

Each discipline corresponds to a specific post code:

  • BE001: Electronics

  • BE002: Mechanical

  • BE003: Computer Science


🔹 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university.

  • A minimum aggregate of 65% marks or a CGPA of 6.84/10 is required.

Age Limit:

  • The upper age limit is 28 years as of June 16, 2025.

  • Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories.


🔹 Application Fee

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹750/-

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Female candidates: ₹250/-

The application fee is non-refundable. Payment can be made through net banking, UPI, or debit/credit cards.


🔹 Selection Process

  1. Written Examination:

    • Part A: Discipline-specific questions (80 MCQs)

    • Part B: Aptitude and General Awareness (15 MCQs)

    • Duration: 2 hours

  2. Interview:

    • Candidates shortlisted based on the written exam will be called for a technical interview.

The final selection will be based on a 50:50 weightage between the written exam and interview scores.


🔹 Salary and Allowances

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month. Additional allowances as per ISRO norms will be applicable.
