How to Download the Merit List

  1. Visit the official India Post GDS portal: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
  2. Click on “Candidates’ Corner” and select “Shortlisted Candidates.”
  3. Select your State and hover on the state tab to click “List of Shortlisted Candidates.”
  4. A PDF file will open. Use CTRL+F to find your registration number.

  • Percentage Obtained in Class 10

What’s Next After Merit List?

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification at their respective Division Office.

  • You must complete the document verification within 15 days of merit list release.
  • Failure to appear for DV will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • After DV, the Divisional Head will issue a system-generated Offer of Engagement.
  • Post-verification, candidates must undergo pre-engagement formalities and 3-day training.
  • The entire process will be completed before 30 June 2025.

Documents Required for Verification

  • Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
  • Class 10th Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • PWD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Transgender Certificate (if applicable)
  • Date of Birth Proof
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical Certificate from a Govt. Medical Officer
  • For Arunachal Pradesh: Certificate proving knowledge of tribal/local dialects

Important Note

Keep all original and self-attested photocopies ready. Once the Offer of Engagement is received, candidates must complete the joining process and attend the mandatory training within 30 days.
