The institution is giving 660 seats across seven colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) has begun the application process for its undergraduate programs for the academic year 2025-2026. According to the admissions committee chairman, application forms will be available on the university’s website from 10 a.m. on Monday until 5 p.m. on June 20.
Candidates can submit their applications via https://admin.tnuvas.ac.in. For further information on the application procedure, seat distribution under the NRI, NRI-sponsored, and foreign nationals quotas.
The university is offering a total of 660 seats across seven colleges in Tamil Nadu. Admission will be based on the marks obtained in Class 12. Applicants must have studied biology, physics and chemistry, and the cut-off is calculated out of 200 marks using the scores in these subjects.

TANUVAS Seat Allocation & Course Details
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
Duration: 5½ years (includes 1-year internship)
Total seats & distribution:
Madras Veterinary College: 120 seats
Orathanadu, Namakkal, Tirunelveli colleges: 100 seats each
Salem, Theni, Tiruppur colleges: 80 seats each (pending Veterinary Council of India approval)
Reservation:
15% seats (60 seats) reserved for students from other states via Veterinary Council of India
7.5% seats reserved for students from Tamil Nadu government schools
B.Tech Courses (Food Tech, Dairy Tech, Poultry Tech)
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility: Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
Total intake: 100 seats distributed as:
Food Technology: 40 seats
Poultry Technology: 40 seats
Dairy Technology: 20 seats
Reservations:
7.5% reserved for government school students
15% allocated to candidates selected through Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)
