Major Changes Introduced in NEET 2025
- Change in exam pattern: The NEET 2025 exam pattern has been reverted to that of the pre-COVID era. The optional questions have been removed and the duration has been reduced by 20 minutes.
- NEET 2025 official website URL: The NEET 2025 official website address has changed. Last year, the NEET official website URL was neet.ntaonline.in, and this year, it is neet.nta.nic.in.
- Implementation of APAAR ID: NTA has implemented APAAR ID in the application process, where the past academic records of a candidate are auto-populated to the NEET 2025 application form if the candidate selects APAAR.
- Number and choice of NEET 2025 exam cities: The total number of NEET 2025 exam cities in India has been reduced from 557 to 552. Candidates can now select three exam cities instead of two.
- Change in Tie-Breaking Policy: A change has been made in the last criterion of the NEET 2025 tie-breaking policy. If the first seven criteria are exhausted and the tie still persists, it will be resolved through a random process with the guidance of an independent expert committee.

The NEET exam pattern has undergone major changes. The latest NEET pattern and structure state that it is a paper-pencil-based test (PBT) or offline test of three hours duration. The exam will consist of 180 questions: 45 each from Physics and Chemistry, and 90 questions from Biology. All 180 questions are compulsory to attempt. The questions are objective-type with multiple-choice answers. The correct answer option has to be marked by shading the corresponding circle on the OMR sheet with a blue/black ballpoint pen provided at the test centre.Subject | Number of Questions | Marks |

NEET 2025 Application Correction
NEET 2025 Application Correction Facility
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the NEET application correction facility for the registered candidates, allowing them to make necessary corrections or changes in their NEET 2025 application form. The NEET 2025 application correction window was open from March 9 to March 11, 2025. Only those candidates who have submitted the NEET application form 2025 by paying the requisite application fee within the stipulated date are eligible for the NEET application correction facility.
Steps to Make NEET 2025 Application Correction
- Visit the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in
- Log in using your NEET 2025 registration credentials.
- Click on the tab ‘Correction in Application Form’.
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number for verification.
- Make the necessary changes, provided the fields are editable and allowed based on your Aadhaar verification status.
- Click on “Save” to save your corrections.
- Download the updated Application Confirmation form.
Note: There is no additional fee for making corrections in the NEET 2025 registration. However, some fields are uneditable. These fields include name, email ID, and mobile number.

How to Download the NEET UG Admit Card 2025?
NEET 2025 Admit Card
The admit card for NEET 2025 will be available in online mode only. Candidates can follow the steps below to download it:
- Visit the NEET 2025 website: neet.nta.nic.in (direct link will be provided once it is released)
- Click on the link “Download Admit Card”.
- Enter your NEET 2025 Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security Pin.
- Click on the “Download” button to download the NEET 2025 Admit Card.
- Take multiple printouts of the admit card for future reference.
