🧾 Eligibility & Admission Criteria
Eligibility
Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Science / Humanities / Social Sciences with minimum CGPA 6.00 / 60% aggregate.
For candidates who have a B.Tech / equivalent instead of Master’s, they must have CGPA 7.00 / 70% and valid GATE / UGC-CSIR / DBT / INSPIRE score for applicable fields.
Exemptions: Graduates from centrally funded technical institutes with exceptional CGPA or credentials may be waived from the GATE / exam requirement.
Selection Procedure
Mahindra University’s selection methodology is multi-stage:
UGC-NET / National Exam Score: If you already hold a valid UGC-NET, that will be given weightage.
Written Entrance Test: A university-conducted exam (60% weightage) for those who don’t have or want to improve their score.
Interview / Viva-Voce: Final stage (40% weightage) for shortlisted candidates.
Candidates who hold UGC-NET marks may be directly shortlisted or given preference, but the university’s written test remains part of the evaluation for normalization or improvement.
