📌 What Is CAP Round 3 Allotment?

The CAP (Centralized Admission Process) is Maharashtra’s standard counselling mechanism for allotting seats based on MAH CET scores, candidate preferences, and seat availability. The Round 3 allotment is the latest step in this multi-round process. Seats are allotted in each round by matching candidate choices against openings remaining after previous rounds

Round 3 specifically covers management programmes like BBA, BMS, BBM and integrated MBA, among other relevant courses.

If you want to see whether you’ve been allotted a seat in Round 3, here’s what you need to do:

1. Go to the official CAP allotment portal: bba2025.mahacet.org.in 

2. Click on the “CAP Round 3 Seat Allotment” or similar link on the homepage. 

3. Login using your registered application number / User ID and password or date of birth.

4. Your seat allotment result will appear on the screen. It shows institute name, course, category, and other details.

5. Download or print the allotment PDF / PDF of your allotment for future reference.

Double-check all details carefully: course, institute, category, etc.

📅 Important Dates & Deadlines

After the result is out, there is a narrow window for completing acceptance formalities. Here are the key deadlines:

• Seat acceptance and confirmation must be done by 26 September 2025 (3:00 PM). When accepting, you must choose between freeze, slide, or float (depending on whether you are satisfied with the allotted seat or want a better option). 

  • If the allotment matches one of your top six preferences, the seat is auto-frozen and you cannot participate in further rounds. 

  • For allotments beyond your top six, you get the option to “not freeze” / betterment to try for a better seat in subsequent rounds. 

Make sure you complete payment and formalities within the deadline; otherwise, your seat may be forfeited.

✅ What to Do After Allotment

Once you have your allotment in hand:

• Accept the seat via your login portal and make the required seat acceptance fee payment.

• Submit / report to the allotted institute within the timeline given, along with required documents (admission letter / allotment letter, identity proof, certificates, etc.).

• If you opted for betterment (not freeze), stay ready for possible upgrades in future rounds (if applicable).

• Keep checking vacancies and future rounds if you aim for a different/better college.

If your seat is auto-frozen (one of top six preferences), you won’t be eligible for further allotment rounds. Make strategic choices accordingly.

• If your allotment is not ideal, and the option to float/slide is allowed, you may try in Round 4. But if your seat is already auto-frozen, you lose that option.

• Keep all your documents (marksheets, identity proofs, category certificates, etc.) ready for institute verification.

• Check whether the allotted college accepts your subject combination or specialization (some programs may have subject-specific cutoff criteria).

• Candidates should monitor the CAP / CET Cell website for updates, vacancy lists, and further rounds.
