KVS Recruitment 2025
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will start the recruitment process for 8977 vacancies for Principal, TGT, PGT, PRT, Vice Principal, and other non-teaching posts. Candidates must meet the KVS eligibility criteria for 2025 to apply. The main eligibility requirements include completion of post-graduation for PGT, Bachelor’s degree for TGT, and candidates must be between 30 to 50 years (depending on the post).
KVS Eligibility Criteria 2025

Revised KVS Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Increased Experience for Principal: The experience requirement for the Principal position has increased from 8 years to 12 years.
- Increased Experience for Vice Principal: Vice Principals (VPs) now need 3 years of experience.
- Headmaster’s Age Requirement: The minimum age for the Headmaster position is now 35 years.
- Reduction in LDE Seats: The percentage of LDE seats for Headmaster, PGT, and TGT has been reduced from 50% to 33.3%.
- New Posts for Special Educators: 497 posts for TGT Special Educators and 494 posts for PRT Special Educators have been introduced.
- Graduation Subject for PGT: The graduation subject is now mandatory for all PGT recruitment.
- Reduction in Age Relaxation for KVS Employees: The age relaxation for KVS employees has been reduced to 5 years.
- Increased Experience for VP: PGTs now need 6 years of experience to become a Vice Principal (VP).
- B.Ed. Now Mandatory for PGT Computer Science: B.Ed. is now compulsory for PGT Computer Science candidates.

PGT Educational Qualifications
For Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), candidates must have a Master’s degree in the respective subject. Below are the subjects and required qualifications:

PRT Educational Qualifications
For Primary Teachers (PRT), candidates should have Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or similar qualifications. Additionally, they must qualify in CTET and have proficiency in Hindi and English.
Principal Educational Qualifications
The Principal should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree. They must also have 12 years of experience as a Vice-Principal or PGT in recognized schools.
