What’s Going On
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has fixed September 13, 2025 as the last date for confirming seats allotted under KCET 2025 Round 3 Counselling. All candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 3 must complete certain key steps by this date to avoid losing their allotted seat.
Key Tasks to Complete by September 13
If your name appears in the KCET Round 3 allotment, here’s what you must do:
Pay the Seat Confirmation / Admission Fee
Log in to the official KEA counselling portal → cetonline.karnataka.gov.in
Use your CET Number and Date of Birth to access the portal.
Pay the specified fee (which secures your allotment). Make sure to do this before the deadline, which is given as 2:30 PM on September 13.
Download Seat Confirmation Slip / Admission Order
After payment, download the seat confirmation slip / admission order from the portal. This is proof that you have accepted the seat.
Report to Your Allotted College
Along with the online steps, physical reporting at the college is mandatory. Candidates must go to their allotted colleges by 5:30 PM on September 13 with all required documents.
Bring Original Documents for Verification
When you report, you must carry original copies of important documents plus two sets of photocopies. These include certificates, mark sheets, identity proofs, etc.
Deadlines Summary
Task | Deadline |
---|---|
Seat confirmation fee payment & downloading of confirmation slip | September 13, 2025 by 2:30 PM |
Reporting physically to the allotted college with documents | September 13, 2025 by 5:30 PM |
🔍 Courses & Allotment Info
Round 3 covers a wide variety of professional undergraduate courses including:
Engineering (BTech)
Architecture (BArch)
Allied Health Sciences, BSc Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, etc.
KEA has also noted that 14,940 BTech seats and 413 BArch seats remained unfilled in this round, which are now being/ will be returned to colleges.
Important Notes & Consequences
If you fail to pay the fee / download the seat confirmation slip by 2:30 PM, or fail to report to your college by 5:30 PM, your allotted seat may be automatically canceled.
If seats are vacated due to non-reporting, they may be returned to colleges for future rounds / spot admissions.
Even if you paid something earlier (a caution deposit / earlier counselling fee), KEA will adjust that amount automatically against the current allotment.
How to Do It — Step by Step
If you’re one of the candidates with an allotment in Round 3, follow this checklist:
Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in → KEA UG CET / UGCET Round 3 section.
Log in using CET Number + Date of Birth.
Check your seat allotment result (if not already seen).
Accept the seat by paying the confirmation fee. Be prompt to avoid cutoff time issues.
Download / print the confirmation slip / admission order. Save it safely.
Gather required documents (original + copies). (See list below)
Report physically to the allotted college, with the documents & confirmation slip, by 5:30 PM on September 13.
Documents You Must Carry
Make sure you have these ready for verification when you report to the college:
KCET Scorecard / Admit Card (or printout)
Class 10 (SSLC) Mark Sheet & Certificate
Class 12 (PUC / 2nd PUC) Mark Sheet & Certificate
CET / Karnataka CET Number proof
Proof of Identity (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID etc.)
Caste Certificate / Income Certificate (if applicable)
Domicile Certificate / or Study Certificate (if claiming Karnataka quota)
Passport size photographs + photocopies of all above documents (at least two sets)
Why This Is Crucial
This is your final chance in Round 3 to confirm your admission under KCET. If you miss this date, you lose the seat, no further rounds may offer that seat.
Colleges begin their classes soon; if you don’t report on time, you may miss out on orientation or initial academic sessions.
Failing to complete the formalities may create complications for future transfers or admissions.
What Happens After September 13
Seats not claimed/confirmed will be reallocated or returned to colleges. (Institutions may fill them via spot admissions or subsequent rounds if KEA opens them.)
KEA is also likely to publish the cut-off ranks for Round 3 for various courses and colleges. This helps candidates understand trends and their performance.
No further modifications or option changes will be allowed once seat confirmation closes. The allotment becomes binding.
