Some highlights on what subjects and the scheduling:

The schedule will cover core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and languages.
On the same day, for JTS students, practical & oral exams for relevant subjects will be scheduled in the afternoon (2:30-5:15 PM).
Key Guidelines & Instructions for Students
To ensure a smooth and fair exam, here are the instructions students are expected to follow. These come from notices published by KSEAB and school authorities.
Arrival Time: Students must arrive at least 30 minutes before the exam begins to allow for seating, identity checks, and distribution of question papers.
Question Paper Review: There will be a 15-minute “cool-off” / reading time at the start of each exam to review the question paper before writing begins. Use this time to plan your strategy.
Mandatory Items:
School ID or any valid identity card.
Admit card, if applicable. (Make sure you have all required documents as per school guidelines.)
Writing instruments (pens, pencils), geometry tools (if subject requires them).
Prohibited Items:
No mobile phones, smartwatches, or electronic gadgets.
No unfair means or cheating. Any malpractice will be dealt with strictly.
Answer Writing:
Write legibly and clearly.
Manage time properly—don’t spend too long on one question.
First attempt easier questions to secure marks, then move to harder ones.
Practical / Oral Exams: For students with JTS subjects and music, practical / oral exams are scheduled on specified days in the afternoon. Make sure to note the timings and prepare accordingly.
What Students Should Prepare Before Exam Day
To get ready for the exams and avoid last-minute stress:
Check the time table carefully (school should provide / posted publicly) to know which subjects and days are scheduled.
Make sure you’ve covered the half-year syllabus (first half). These exams test only part of the annual syllabus. Use study materials, textbooks, model papers.
Revise important concepts and practice writing answers, especially in language and theory subjects.
Get enough rest the night before, manage health (don’t go to exam when sick if possible).
Rules to Avoid Trouble During Exams
Don’t attempt copying or using any unfair means—schools are strict about this.
Confirm the correct exam center, seating arrangements, your roll number. Sometimes schools may change rooms or venues; double check with your teacher.
Maintain discipline—arrive on time, behave respectfully to exam invigilators, follow instructions.
Keep your stationery ready. Extra pens, pencils and erasers might help.
What to Expect After the Exams
Once exams finish for each subject, answer scripts will be evaluated by KSEAB. Teachers will likely use performance in these mid-term exams to guide further teaching.
The exam board, or coaching / school portals, may release answer keys (for core subjects) after each exam is conducted so students can self-evaluate.
Mid-term exam marks often contribute to internal assessments; they help teachers see where students are strong or weak, so feedback is expected.
Sample Day Structure
Here’s a typical exam day under this schedule:
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| ~10:00 AM | Students arrive, seating & verification |
| 10:30 AM | First shift exam begins; reading time (15 mins) |
| 11:45 / 1:30 PM | End first shift depending on subject |
| Afternoon | Second shift or practical / oral exam(s) for some subjects |
Final Tips
Double check which shift your subject exam is in. Don’t mix up morning vs afternoon shifts.
Practice time management with sample papers so you can finish all sections in the allotted time.
Don’t stress about questions you don’t know—answer whatever you can confidently.
Use reading time to plan which questions you’ll attempt first.
