JoSAA Registration 2025

JoSAA Registration 2025 is expected to start on June 3, 2025, a day after the JEE Advanced 2025 results. The process is conducted online at josaa.nic.in. It includes registration, choice filling, and locking preferences for over 121 institutes, including:

  • 23 IITs
  • 31 NITs
  • 26 IIITs
  • 40 GFTIs

The counselling will feature five rounds, with seat allotment based on JEE ranks, preferences, and seat availability. Registration is free, but candidates must complete it by the deadline (likely June 10, 2025) to be eligible for seat allocation.

How to Complete JoSAA Registration 2025?

  1. Visit josaa.nic.in and click the “JoSAA 2025 Registration” link.
  2. Log in using your JEE Main 2025 application number, JEE Advanced 2025 password, and security pin.
  3. Verify personal details (name, category, contact) from your JEE application and update if necessary.
  4. Fill in choices of institutes and programs (e.g., IIT Delhi BTech CSE, NIT Trichy BTech ECE).
  5. Lock your choices before the deadline (likely June 10, 2025); unsubmitted choices will be auto-locked.
  6. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

Note: Use a valid mobile number and email for OTPs. Incorrect information may lead to disqualification.

Eligibility for JoSAA Registration 2025

  • Qualification: JEE Main 2025 (for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs) or JEE Advanced 2025 (for IITs).
  • Academic: Passed Class 12 with Physics, Math, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical subjects. At least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) or top 20 percentile in respective board.
  • Category: Valid certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS issued on or after April 1, 2025), PwD certificate if applicable.
  • Attempts: Must meet JEE attempt rules – two for Main, two consecutive years for Advanced.

Ineligible candidates will be disqualified during document verification.

What to Do After Completing JoSAA Registration 2025

  1. Modify your choice list as needed until June 10, 2025 (tentative).
  2. Check mock seat allotments on June 12 and June 14 to adjust preferences.
  3. View Round 1 seat allotment (June 17, 2025) using your login credentials.
  4. If allotted a seat, choose one of the options: “Freeze”, “Slide”, or “Float”.
  5. Pay seat acceptance fee: INR 35,000 (General/OBC/EWS), INR 15,000 (SC/ST/PwD).
  6. Upload documents for online verification and respond to any queries within the deadline.
  7. Report to the allotted institute (online or offline) by July 2025 for final admission.
