🏛️ About APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025
APSC has released 20 Grade IV posts under its establishment.
These posts are non-gazetted, entry level “Grade IV / Class IV” positions, filling support / administrative / clerical roles in Assam’s state apparatus.
The official portal for applications is apsc.recruitment.in or apsc.nic.in, which hosts the notification, apply link, and application forms.
✅ Eligibility, Qualification & Age Limit
Educational Qualification
Minimum: Pass in Class VIII (8th standard).
Maximum: HSSLC / Class 12 or equivalent. Candidates with educational qualifications higher than this maximum are not eligible.
Note: This “upper limit on qualification” is unusual, but is clearly stated in the notification to limit over-qualified candidates.
Age Limit
Lower age: 18 years (as on 1 Jan 2025)
Upper age: 40 years (as on 1 Jan 2025) ]
Age relaxations apply as per Assam Government rules for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD etc. (refer to official notification).
Residency & Other Requirements
Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam.
Candidates will need to submit proof of residence such as PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate), Employment Exchange registration, etc.
💰 Application & Processing Fees
There is no application fee per se — all categories (General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.) are exempt from fee.
However, a processing / transaction / handling fee of ₹ 47.20 is mandatory for all applicants (regardless of category) via CSC / SPV or as specified.
So even if “application fee = 0”, you must pay the processing charge, or your application will not be accepted.
📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern (Expected)
The selection is likely to include a written examination (objective type / MCQ) covering General Knowledge, English / Assamese / local language, Mathematics / Arithmetic, Reasoning, etc., though APSC has not yet released full exam details in public domain.
After the written test, candidates may go through document verification / certificate checking, and possibly interviews or skills test (if required) for some posts.
Marks / cutoff will be applied as per category-wise norms.
Candidates should closely follow the APSC notifications / recruitment portal for updates on exam pattern, syllabus, admit cards, and schedule.

Keep backup of receipts: save or screenshot fee payment / transaction proof.
Check notification for small family norms / declaration forms: some Assam recruitments require extra declarations.
Watch for email / portal confirmation: make sure your application status shows “submitted / accepted”.
