NMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the NMAT, candidates must review the exam and institute eligibility conditions. Candidates failing to meet the NMAT eligibility criteria will face rejections in later stages of the admission process. Space below indicates the NMAT eligibility conditions which remain identical across participating b-schools:
- Age limit: There is no age limit to appear for NMAT by GMAC.
- Academic qualification: Typical aggregate score required for admission across participating colleges is 50 per cent in bachelor’s level exam. Minimum score requirement in graduation degree may vary across NMAT colleges.
- Work Experience: Candidates with work experience are also eligible to apply for NMAT exam.
NMAT Registration 2025
- Create an account on mba.com by providing details, including name, email ID, mobile number, etc.
- Complete email verification to access the NMAT by GMAC dashboard.
- From the dashboard, proceed to fill personal, academic, and communication details.
- Add school preferences for admissions through NMAT 2025.
- Choose ID proof and provide the ID number. Candidates have to carry the same ID card for verification at the test centre.
- Accept all terms and conditions by clicking on the ‘I Agree’ button.
- Pay the NMAT registration fee using the preferred mode of payment.

NMAT Retake 2025
You can attempt the NMAT exam up to three times per year (1 initial attempt + 2 retakes) with a minimum 15-day gap between attempts.
Fees:
Retake registration fee: ₹3,000 + taxes (same as initial test registration).
Rescheduling fee (change date/time prior to 72 hours before exam): ₹1,200 + taxes.
Seats for retake are allotted on a first‑come, first‑served basis depending on availability.
Important: Some colleges (e.g. NMIMS Mumbai) accept only the first-attempt score, while others might consider the highest across all attempts.
NMAT 2025 Admit Card
Available for download via the candidate dashboard within 24 hours (or up to 7 days before) after scheduling the exam.
Procedure:
Log into GMAC NMAT portal.
Navigate to the dashboard.
Click on “Admit Card” and download it.
Check details carefully: personal information, scheduled attempt number, exam centre, slot, printed photograph. Contact helpdesk if the photograph or details are missing.
Documents to carry: printed admit card, confirmation email / screenshot, and valid photo ID (e.g. Aadhar, PAN, passport) plus a signature verification ID such as debit card or driver’s license.
Arrival time: recommended to reach 30–45 minutes early.
NMAT 2025 Exam Pattern
Mode: Computer-Based Test at centres (IBT proctored option available only for overseas candidates).
Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes), fixed section time limits.
Sections (108 MCQs total, 36 questions each):
Language Skills — 28 minutes
Quantitative Skills — 52 minutes
Logical Reasoning — 40 minutes
Negative marking: None. Results appear immediately after submission but scorecard is downloadable within 48 hours.

Quantitative Skills: Number properties, arithmetic, algebra & probability, data interpretation (charts, caselets), data sufficiency.
