Kanya Sumangala Yojana 2025 : बेटियों को पढ़ाई ₹15,000 की मदद

Launched in October 2019 by the UP Government’s Women & Child Development Department, this flagship scheme provides cumulative financial assistance of ₹15,000 to families of girls born on or after April 1, 2019, to support their health and education

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the benefits:

  • Must be a permanent UP resident (proof via Aadhaar, ration card, etc.) 

  • Family annual income ≤ ₹3 lakh 

  • A maximum of two girl children per family; exceptions made for twins .

  • Age cut-off: girls born on/after April 1, 2019 receive full benefit; older girls receive partial support

The total ₹15,000 is broken into 6 lump-sum payments tied to key milestones

  • Ration card with beneficiary’s name

  • Self-certified annual income certificate

  • Bank passbook copy

  • Birth certificate & vaccination record

  • Enrollment proof for Classes I, VI, IX, or higher education

  • Adoption certificate (if applicable)


How to Apply Online

Apply through the official portal in 7 steps 

  1. Visit mksy.up.gov.in

  2. Click “Apply Here” under Citizen Services Portal

  3. Register with OTP verification

  4. Log in using your credentials

  5. Complete the application with details & milestone stage

  6. Upload necessary documents

  7. Submit the form and note down your registration number


Verification & Fund Disbursement

  • Applications are verified by ANM/Anganwadi or Block/District Officers

  • Funds are transferred directly via PFMS into the bank account .


FAQs

Q1. Can couples with twins claim more?
Yes — if the 2nd pregnancy has twins, the third girl child is also eligible 

Q2. What about older girls born before April 2019?
They receive proportionate support – not the full ₹25,000

Q3. How many daughters per family are eligible?
 Two daughters are the limit, except if a twin pregnancy produces an additional girl child .

Q4. How long must one wait for payment?
Amounts are typically released within weeks after milestone verification via the portal.
