Spot Round 1 Seat Allotment Result OUT
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has officially released the Spot Round 1 seat allotment result for Undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2025-26 academic session. The result is available on the BHU website, bhu.ac.in, and students who participated in the spot round under the Combined Allotment Program (CAP-UG) can now check their allotment status.
Important Deadline
Students who have been allotted seats in Spot Round 1 must confirm their admission by paying the required fee online by September 13, 2025.Â
The second spot round (Spot Round 2) result is expected on September 15, 2025.
How the Allotment was Done
The allotment in Spot Round 1 is based on:
Candidates’ performance in CUET-UG 2025
Preferences made for courses & colleges during counselling
Seat availability in courses/faculties
Reservation norms (UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, etc.)Â
It’s important to note that cut-off scores in the spot round are not the same as those in earlier regular rounds. They tend to differ due to fewer seats or different demand.Â
Cut-Off Scores Released
Along with the allotment results, BHU has also published detailed cut-off lists (minimum NTA scores) for various programmes across different colleges. These help students see the lowest score needed in Spot Round 1 for their chosen programme/college
Some sample cut-offs include:
B.A. (Hons) Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology + English – Vasanta College for Women: ~259.65
B.A. (Hons) English + Hindi – Faculty of Arts: ~316.21
(There are many more for different combinations.)
How to Check Your Allotment Status
If you want to see whether you’ve been allotted a seat, here are the steps:
Go to the BHU official website: bhu.ac.inÂ
Click on the “UG Admissions 2025 (Spot Round 1 Result)” link. This will redirect you to the BHU Samarth Portal.Â
Log in using your application/registration number and password or date of birth.Â
View the allotment result/cut-off score. Download & print your allotment letter if needed.Â
What to Keep in Mind
Before paying the fee, check that you fulfill the eligibility criteria for the programme you’ve been allotted. Some students might get seats even if they barely meet earlier criteria, so double-check.Â
If you don’t confirm your seat by the deadline (Sept 13), the allotment may be cancelled.Â
Spot Round 2 is coming up on September 15, so those not satisfied or not allotted in Round 1 still have another chance.Â
