What’s the Difference Between Provisional and Final Allotment
The provisional seat allotment is a preliminary list showing which college/course candidates are likely to receive based on their rank, filled preferences, and seat availability. However, this is subject to objections and corrections.
The final allotment result is the confirmed list after resolving objections, updating records, and considering any changes. Once the final list is out, admissions, fee payment, and reporting procedures can begin officially.
Key Dates & Deadlines
Provisional Round 3 Allotment Published: September 10, 2025
Objection Window: Candidates had the chance to raise objections or corrections up to 11 AM, September 11, 2025.
Final Allotment Expected: Very soon after the objection deadline. Though KEA has not specified an exact date, many news sources suggest final results should come within a day or two of objections closing.
Seat Acceptance & Reporting Deadline: After the final allotment is published, candidates allotted seats must pay the seat acceptance fee, download their allotment letter, and report to their allotted colleges by September 13, 2025.
How to Check the Final Allotment
Here are the steps to view the final allotment once it is released:
Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in (KEAs official site).
Find the link for “KCET 2025 Round 3 Final Allotment Result”. This may replace or appear soon after the link for the provisional result.
Login using your CET number and Date of Birth. Some portals may also require application or password credentials.
View your allotted college and course information. Confirm details.
Download and print the allotment order / letter. Keep it safely for reporting.
What Candidates Should Do Next
Monitor for final result: Since the objection window closed on September 11, the final allotment is expected anytime soon. Refresh the KEA website / result portal.
Objections: If you had objections to provisional allotment, verify if those are addressed in final allotment. But once final allotment is out, further changes may not be possible.
Payment and confirmation: Once final allotment is out, pay the acceptance / seat confirmation fee as instructed. If you don’t pay or report by deadline (September 13), the seat could be cancelled.
Document verification & reporting: Be ready with original documents at the college you are allotted. Bring certificates, mark sheets, identity proofs, etc.
Important Notes
The results released so far are provisional, so candidates should treat them as tentative until the final allotment is declared.
Not every candidate in provisional list may get a final allotment if there were discrepancies or insufficient information in their application.
Round 3 seems to be the final scheduled allotment in this counselling cycle, meaning this may be your last chance through KCET rounds unless there are special mop-up rounds.
