Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • A full-time B.Tech / BE / equivalent degree in one of the specified disciplines (Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation) from a recognized institute/university. 

  • Minimum marks: 65% (or equivalent CGPA) for General / EWS / OBC-NCL candidates; 55% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates. 

  • The final degree/marksheet should be available by 31 October 2025 for those applying. 

Age Limit

  • The upper age limit is 26 years as of the closing date of application (21 September 2025). Age relaxations apply as per government rules for reserved categories. 

Other Requirements

  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals

  • Physical fitness requirements also apply; medical reports will be needed at the time of joining if selected.


Selection Process

The selection is a three-stage process:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT):

    • 100 objective MCQs.

    • Section-wise breakup: Domain Knowledge (50 questions), General Aptitude / Quantitative Aptitude (20), Logical Reasoning (15), English Verbal Ability (15). 

    • Total duration: 150 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. 

    • PwBD candidates who require a scribe are eligible for compensatory time per government norms. 

  2. Group Discussion & Group Task (GD & GT): Candidates shortlisted in CBT will undergo these rounds. 

  3. Personal Interview (PI): Final stage after GD/GT, based on cumulative performance. 

  • The merit list is based on composite score, with weightages given to each stage. Minimum passing criteria are prescribed.

  • For General / OBC / EWS candidates: Fee is required (non-refundable) — amount is ₹500. 

  • SC / ST / PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
